360 degrees on the compliance landscape for recruitment

SiR’s Adrian Marlowe will be speaking at a major compliance conference in London on 6th March organised by Recruitment International.

Adrian Marlowe, director of Standards in Recruitment will present some solutions and a wealth of information on tax relief on expenses, IR35, recruitment process, and how to demonstrate your compliance credentials.

Adrian is recognised as one of the UK’s leading lawyers specialising in the recruitment industry. Founder and managing director of Lawspeed, chairman of the Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) and founder and director of Standards in Recruitment (SiR).

Adrian qualified as a solicitor in 1978 gaining wide ranging litigation and commercial experience as partner in three firms. In 1997 he set up Lawspeed as a specialist legal and compliance adviser to the recruitment industry, devising new forms of commercial contracts and support for agencies and umbrella companies. Adrian’s work includes the first IR35 friendly contracts, and he is architect of the limited company opt out. Set up the ARC in 2009 to provide a membership service for lobbying and support information/services for recruitment businesses, track record of success on changing the Agency Worker Regulations, Employment Tribunal rules. Following a 3 year gestation period with a hirer/agency stakeholder group, set up Standards in Recruitment (SiR) in 2015 as a universally applicable independent accreditation to identify and promote quality recruitment businesses.”
